The Secret is a movie and book by Rhonda Byrne that discusses this law of attraction; it describes a natural law about the law of attraction, a law that can change every aspect of your life for the better, including wealth. Many people believe, incorrectly, that The Secret can help them win the lottery. It's quite foolish, actually.
The Secret, while providing some great advice on how to live your life, provides good rules to live by. However, it is just an extension of most self-help books already published. I believe that The Secret enjoyed wild success simply because of it's great marketing. That said, it is a good book but simplistic and people take it too literally.
I've seen too many people that see the movie and come away thinking that if they really, really think that they will win the lottery, that they will. That's the foolish part.I don't think that The Secret has anything to do with something like thinking about winning the lottery. The lottery is purely random and has nothing to do with the law of attraction. People that do this, in my opinion, are just doomed to fail. Thinking is one thing, action is something else entirely. Thinking about becoming wealthy is good. Doing something about it is good. Playing the lottery based solely on the reasoning that The Secret will help you win it is just foolish.
